Memory Inhabits Matter
Being Object extends the journey initiated in Being Landscape, shifting my visual experience toward the everyday domestic landscape that I inhabit. Objects cease to be merely objects and become fragments of that close-knit territory, where the passage of time also leaves its traces.
When vision alone is no longer enough, the body draws closer and the hands begin to recognize what the eyes cannot reach with the same clarity. Touch ceases to be a mere gesture and becomes a way of knowing and relating to my surroundings.
The series does not aim to document objects, but to invite the spectator to linger upon them through a different way of seeing. In this proximity, photography becomes my way of continuing to inhabit that interior landscape.
